Are there any professions that are more at risk for developing flat feet?

I work on a building site where I perform a lot of manual labor but more importantly, I am on my feet all day every day. Is my job potentially contributing to my having flat feet? Is there anything I can do to counter this?

The acquired cause of flat feet could be many. If you are worried about getting flat feet due to repetitive stress put on your feet, I would suggest you invest in some good insoles with arch support as that will provide your feet more stability and will unload the stress, thereby preventing your arch from collapsing. Also, consult your GP to rule out any arthritic conditions.
