How often should seniors visit a podiatrist?

Asked 4 years ago

Hi, I want to ensure that I am taking care of my feet properly as I age. I am unsure how often I should go to the podiatrist to make sure my feet stay in good health, especially since they have been bothering me lately. Can anyone give me advice on how often a senior should visit a podiatrist? Thank you in advance for your help!

A senior citizen's frequency of podiatrist visits will be determined by their particular needs and any pre-existing foot issues. Even if seniors are not experiencing any foot problems, it is generally recommended that they visit a podiatrist at least once a year for a routine foot exam.
