Custom orthotics or over-the-counter inserts for plantar fasciitis?

Hey, I suffer from plantar fasciitis, I'm wondering if I really need to invest in custom orthotics or if over-the-counter inserts will do the trick. I've heard mixed opinions on this and I don't want to waste money on something that won't work. Can anyone share their experience with either option? Thanks in advance!

Finding the right set of inserts which will work best for you and provide the right blend of comfort and support can be tricky. There are plenty of over-the-counter options which you can try which may work, however your feet are unique to you and a set of custom orthotics will provide the highest levels of support tailored for you personally.
