Can wearing high heels cause plantar fasciitis?

Asked 4 years ago

Hey, I've been experiencing some pain in my heel lately and I'm wondering if it could be plantar fasciitis. I love wearing high heels, but I'm starting to wonder if they could be the cause of my discomfort. Can anyone tell me if wearing these can lead to plantar fasciitis?TYIA

Yes, it can!

FREQUENTLY wearing high heels puts you at risk of developing plantar fasciitis. This is because high heels distribute your weight unevenly and do not support your feet adequately. They strain your foot arch and cause it to be in an unnatural position for a long duration.
