How long does it typically take for conservative treatments to relieve plantar fasciitis pain?
Asked 4 years ago
Hey, I am currently dealing with plantar fasciitis pain, I am curious about how long it typically takes for conservative treatments to provide relief. I have been trying various stretches and exercises, as well as wearing supportive shoes and using ice and heat therapy, but I am still experiencing discomfort. How long should I wait before visiting the doctor?

Plantar fasciitis recovery can be a long and frustrating process. In some cases it may take between 6-12 months, but be reassured that this is completely normal. It sounds like you are doing all the right things to encourage recovery. Pacing yourself by taking breaks when walking or to avoid being on your feet all day can also help to avoid the point of the worst pain.
